The former buskers, named after a former right-wing Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, hit the big time after storming the Edinburgh Fringe in 1987. With an uncomprimising blend of tasteless jokes and songs, they amused and offended with topics of sex, violence, feminism and more sex. The guys racked up a string of TV appearances and were nominated for a Perrier award, but broke up in 1994 with a farewell tour of Australia. They reformed in 2014 and continue to be rude and lewd in 2016.
