About Mr Airplane Man
Two punk-rocking girlfriends from Boston - Tara McManus and Margaret Garrett - playing raw, rockin' new rhythm and blues with a 'schoolyard scrappiness.' They played on bills supporting the likes of The White Stripes, The Blues Explosion and Yeah Yeah Yeahs and were fairly popular on the East Coast and in Europe.
They released a series of prized recordings on Sympathy for the Record Industry and other underground labels in the early 2000s before Mr. Airplane Man mysteriously disappeared for the better part of a decade. Newly reinvigorated in 2018, they released their ninth album and have returned to the live circuit.
