The Wombats

Ever since Murph, bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen and drummer Dan Haggis – who met and formed The Wombats at the Liverpool Institute Of Performing Arts in 2003 - emerged in 2006 and swiftly became chart-quashing champions of the noughties guitar pop explosion with hits including ‘Moving To New York’, ‘Kill The Director’ and ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’, they’ve barely looked back. The euphoric tales of romantic misadventures in cinemas, forests, weddings and rock clubs that filled their platinum-selling 2007 debut album ‘A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation’ garnered them a strong and dedicated fanbase in thrall to Murph’s amalgam of irrepressible hooks and downbeat tragi-comic lyricism and with such bare-hearted emotional depth to their ditties, The Wombats resolutely refuse to be a flash in the pan.

Jamie Webster

Music with rare meaning, ‘people’s poet’ Jamie Webster has built a movement around songcraft that distils struggle, finds hope and the tugs at the ties that bind. Creating pin-sharp pictures of people he sees around him striving and failing, through no fault of their own, to make better lives, Webster’s motivations and inspirations are unambiguous. Singing for the downtrodden, dispossessed and ill-advised with fists-aloft, smile-wide songs that invite, if not demand the release of communal celebration, Webster’s story has a cast of thousands. Rooted in Liverpool, yet finding the same faces with different accents singing every word back at him, from London to Glasgow, Manchester to Belfast, every moment of Webster’s success is shared. Scoring a UK Official Albums Chart Top Ten and UK Official Folk Chart Number One with his debut album, We Get By, Webster is held up by the enthusiasm of people just like him: those who simply love music and see the cracks in people’s troubles that serve to let the light in.

Circa Waves

Known for their nervy, melodic indie rock, Britain's Circa Waves first gained buzz in the 2010's with hooky singles like 'Get Away' and 'Stuck in My Teeth'. The Liverpudlians earned favourable comparisons to the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and the Vaccines even before they hit the Top Ten with their debut, 2015's Young Chasers. Without shying away from their influences, the band has matured, while continuing their knack for crafting their own distinctively infectious, post-punk anthems.

Nell Mescal

Nell Mescal is a singer and songwriter from Maynooth in Kildare, Ireland. She has been singing all her life and has been performing in groups and choirs for as long as she can remember. This young emerging talent began writing music when she was just 13 years old and finally took the decision to make music her career during the pandemic, something that in hindsight, has given her the time and space to focus on her sound and what she wants to articulate in her songs. Since leaving school, Nell has now moved to North London and found herself surrounded by other young creatives and kindred spirits. Many of whom are helping Nell to discover more about what she’s capable of, are collaborating with her and giving her a thirst for knowledge that will allow her to take creative control of her future as a musician. Her first official release, ‘Graduating’ effortlessly blends the intimate with the epic, with Nell’s spine-tingling vocal at the forefront.
