Laughs, Stories, A Song And A Poem

Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser

Join comedian, writer, broadcaster and all-round British institution Arthur Smith for an evening of laughter and off the wall humour with one of the alternative comics who shook up the world of light entertainment in the 1980s and 90s. Expect a sublimely playful show, crammed with jokes, anecdotes, short stories, poems, songs and readings, as well as the story of his late father PC Syd Smith, survivor of Colditz POW camp and a 1950s London copper. A BBC regular, Arthur is well-known for his appearances on Grumpy Old Men, QI, Have I Got News For You and The One Show, Radio 4’s Loose Ends and Balham Bash, and as host of Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club and Radio 2’s Smith Lectures. He is a Spirit of The Fringe Award-winning Edinburgh Festival stalwart, Olivier-nominated playwright and simply one of our funniest and most original comic performers. Age 16+
