Multi-instrumentalist Ed Blunt is a storyteller whose songs will both make you laugh and gently break your heart. Blending folk, jazz, and roots with a Randy Newman-esque dry humor, his lyrics hold a mirror to 21st-century life—from swiping right for love to pipe dreaming on the train to London Bridge.
A fixture on the London scene, his endearing stage presence and candid storytelling have earned him a devoted following, drawn to his singular voice and unfiltered authenticity.
Ed studied jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, but it was an unexpected detour during the Covid lockdown that truly kickstarted his songwriting career. Serendipitously discovering an online songwriting camp, Ed caught the eye of Chris Difford of Squeeze, who recognised Ed's talent and became a pivotal mentor.
Since then, Ed has released two critically acclaimed albums under his own name, Over The Moon and Grown Up. He has collaborated with major artists, including Tom Odell, Westlife, and Beth Nielsen Chapman, and played keys in Hollie Rogers’ band at The Bear back in February.
With his ability to capture the essence of human experience through a lens of poignant humor and sharp social commentary, Ed's music resonates with universal appeal, leaving a mark on the hearts and minds of his listeners.

Ed Blunt’s music evokes classic Tin Pan Alley songwriting with a lyricism that reaches from the introspective to the universal. From cinematic stories…
