Introducing Roundhouse Song Circle, a brand new collaboration between Roundhouse Three Sixty and the multi-platinum-selling singer, songwriter, and producer Tom Odell.
The show will be a unique showcase of songwriting with performances by Odell, a longtime Roundhouse supporter, alongside 5 alumni from the Roundhouse’s Resident Artist programme. Together, they will celebrate the art of songwriting through both original works and collaborations.
Tom Odell
Winner of the 2013 Brits Critics's Choice award, London born Tom started out as a classically trained pianist, before turning his hand to more contemporary material. Growing up, he found himself influenced by classic piano singer-songwriters Elton John and Billy Joel, along with the blues, folk and rock sounds of Tom Waits, Dylan and Springsteen. The end result is a powerful and emotional pianist and performer, following in the footsteps of Ed Harcourt with subtle hints of Jeff Buckley.

Lead singer Saachi Sen’s songwriting has gained high level recognition, receiving PRS for Music’s Lynsey de Paul prize and winning a semifinalist place in the International Songwriting Competition.

Hohnen Ford
Perhaps unusually, it was contemporary instrumental jazz that first inspired Ella to pursue being a vocalist. Ella’s open ears and interest in a broad variety of styles has produced an unorthodox and genre-defying approach to writing and interpreting music. She is drawn to redefining the role of vocalist and narrator, blending her skills as an improviser and storyteller in the art she creates.

Kai Bosch
Staged under the cover of darkness and imbued with a subtle yet high stakes sense of emotional drama, the music that 20-year-old Kai Bosch crafts makes a lot of sense if you look not at where he’s come from, but where he’s been. Having uprooted himself aged 17 from the sleepy town of Polzeath, Cornwall to the throbbing nightlife of Berlin before then moving to London, the singer is indebted to the pursuit of sensation as its author. Nodding to the nocturnal sensibilities of James Blake, the gentle emotional surges of The XX and the crisp picture-painting of Lorde, Kai's music evokes hazy lost nights and fleeting moments caught mid-breath.
