A Gay and A NonGay started when James’ friend moved abroad asking him to look after ‘Dan’, her boyfriend. James (Gay) & Dan (NonGay) smash stereotypes with special guests from the podcast, drag and comedy community. James explores the 'admin' behind gay sex, while Dan promotes his campaign for metal music fans to be recognised as a minority too.

The podcast “challenges our differences head on” proving that “Gays and NonGays can be friends”, the show promises audience interaction, a hilarious parody of ‘QueerEye’ as Dan lends his hetero gaze to the Gay community and a laugh out loud look at issues affecting Gay and NonGay people in what Time Out call ‘a warm, funny take on love, friendship and sex’.

James & Dan’s inclusive conversation style tackles harder topics too. They’ve discussed trans rights with acclaimed author Juno Dawson, the hangover of the AIDS crisis on the LGBTQ+ youth of today with Inheritance actor John Benjamin Hickey and released a Daddy special with Tales of The City author Armistead Maupin.

They also hosted Santa’s first ever Gay interview in which he discussed the isolation of Queer people at Christmas and have recently collaborated with BBC Radio 1 on a documentary about gay conversion therapy in Northern Ireland.
