This month we have a special Robyn’s Rocket to celebrate the launch of Robyn's new vinyl, Robyn Rocket and People you May of Heard of.
The album features 20+ musicians from the three communities Robyn is part of, with some names you may have heard of – like Charles Hayward, John Edwards, Alabaster DePlume, Danalogue and Dean Rodney Jnr. And some new names too.
This month's Rocket will be a little different. There will be three live acts:
Brainwaves, featuring Clive Bell
Robyn met Brainwaves' Dave Ross through Musical Keys, a Norwich-based charity which helped Robyn learn to speak through music. Dave has created technology that allows people with very little movement in their body to control music via their brainwaves. This performance will feature a disabled artist and Clive Bell.
Iko Chérie
Experimental pop, dub textures and analog noises
Elaine Mitchener & Robyn Rocket
After a successful Late Junction session, Elaine and Robyn will create cosmic sound worlds.
We’ll also listen to the new album, with live visuals by Rucksack Cinema and Samir. They’re regulars at Robyn's Rocket, providing visuals for the acts. This is the first time they’ve been the main focus.
Tickets: £12 in advance, £7 for Cafe OTO members, £14 on the door
Doors are at 7:30pm and music starts at 8pm.
This gig is also streamed online.
Robyn’s Rocket offers an equal platform for artists with and without Learning Disabilities, and Autistic and non-Autistic artists.
It aims to be Inclusive Conscious.

Iko Cherie
Marie Merlet was born and raised in Bordeaux, where she maintained a close, continuous relationship with music while she was a film student, playing in various bands and DJing weekly on the local radio station Nova Sauvagine. Everything changed the day she met Laetitia Sadier. At the time, Marie was involved in a thousand projects: a girl-group.
