Back in 2014, we were inspired by our friend David Mundell of Backstage at The Green, to put on some live music in Troon. The rest they say is history but the very first two gigs were Albert Lee and the amazing John Jorgenson. Jorgenson first played that year with his full band and the for a memorable return in October of the same year with The Webb Sisters.
We are delighted to confirm that the Grammy-winner John Jorgenson is reuniting with the amazing Webb Sisters for a rare return to Ayrshire and an acoustic night at The Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine on Wednesday April 23rd 2025.
No stranger to UK audiences, Jorgenson has performed many times over the years with his Electric Band, Bluegrass Band and Gypsy Jazz Quintet, as well as with Elton John and The Hellecasters.
This time he is joined by long time friends Charley and Hattie Webb, fresh off their world tour with David Gilmour.
The Webb Sisters have toured and recorded with Leonard Cohen, Sting and Tom Petty, sharing with audiences their sublime sibling harmonies supported by extraordinary skills on harp, guitar, mandolin and percussion.
This special collaboration in an intimate acoustic format allows the special blend of voices and virtuosic musicianship to transport the listeners to places equally ethereal, mystical and fun.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the unique sounds of lifelong friends making music together, just for the joy of it!
John Jorgenson
John Jorgenson is acclaimed as one of the best guitarists in the world. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of American gypsy jazz and is one of the most respected virtuosos of this celebrated style. Not only this, with his signature Fender guitar, John has worked with the likes of former Byrd Chris Hillman and Elton John, and is a member of The Hellecasters.
