We are so looking forward to welcoming Folk legend, multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and musician, Steve Knightley to Grayshott for his first visit to us. Steve is best known as a founding member and front man of the Folk/Acoustic band “Show of Hands”. He hails from the West Country and is renowned for crafting songs deeply-rooted in geographical places, merging historical Folk influences with contemporary themes.

Steve is back with his eagerly-anticipated solo tour and bold new show; "Winter Into Spring 2025". Following the phenomenal success of his Autumn 2024 "Winter Yards" album and tour, this brand-new show will take Steve back to the kind of intimate, out-of-the-way venues, where he originally honed his craft.

This tour will feature songs from the critically-acclaimed "Winter Yards" album, described as:
“a deeply atmospheric journey” (Spiral Earth)
and
“a must-have for anyone seeking unforgettable music” (Here Comes the Song).

Known for his “powerful narratives, full of humanity and captivating stage presence” (Rock and Reel), Steve promises an unforgettable evening of music and stories.

Steve Knightley

Steve Knightley is the songwriting force behind the phenomenally successful acoustic roots duo Show of Hands as well as a fine singer and musician. From a rock background, Knightley is known for his strong narrative songs (many inspired by people and places in his native West Country) and cogent, inventive lyrics. His rock style rant Country Life and anthemic rally call Roots were both nominated for Best Original Song in the BBC Radio2 Folk Awards, whilst Show of Hands have won the categories Best Live Act and Best Duo. At the 2010 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Steve won the coveted Best Original Song category with his topical and widely acclaimed song aimed at bankers and MPs – Arrogance Ignorance and Greed. Steve's 2010 solo appearances include Glastonbury and Larmer Tree festivals. 'Bleak, witty and finely observed' (The Guardian).
