Phoenix River Band - a potent mix of original songs with driving beats and soulful melodies, in a style best described as ‘Atlanticana’ – fusing the sounds of Rock, Blues and Country Rock from both sides of the ‘Pond’. Music that is rooted in the songwriting ethos of the 60s and 70s delivered by a band that sounds like one from that period but, in truth, sound like no one but themselves. Blues-infused guitar, with nicely fluid solos and twin lead guitar ; a rhythm section that are the heart and soul of this outfit; keyboard playing tasteful and very expert; backing vocalists that blend nicely in harmony with very soulful voices – all integral to the band’s overall sound.
