Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey is the best-selling female artist of all time with more than 200 million albums sold as of 2018 and 18 Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles (17 self-penned), more than any solo artist in history. Mariah is a singer/songwriter/producer recognized with multiple Grammy Awards, 21 American Music Awards, Billboard's 'Artist of the Decade' Award, the World Music Award for 'World's Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium', and BMI's 'Icon Award' for her outstanding achievements in songwriting, to name a few – with her distinct five-octave vocal range, prolific songwriting, and producing talent, Mariah is truly the template of the modern pop performance. Mariah's ongoing impact has transcended the music industry to leave an indelible imprint upon the world at large. She made her entry into the world of independent film with her landmark performance in 'WiseGirls' starring alongside Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino and Melora Walters.

Sugababes

A three-piece pop group whose members were all under 17 when they first hit the charts. From their chart smash reworking of the Gary Numan classic Freak Like Me which got their first No 1 which also earned them a Q Award for Best Single, Sugababes have turned into one of the most influential British pop groups of the 21st century. Infamously known for their several line-up changes, previous band members were Jade Ewen, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah. But now, Sugababes have returned with their original lineup of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy.

Confidence Man

Parading within a brand of dance pop that sounds like Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder gleefully discovering house music via Dee-lite, and building on a run of breakthrough singles, Australian group Confidence Man arrived properly with their debut Confident Music for Confident People.

Loreen

Raised in the countryside outside Stockholm in a family of Moroccan-Berber origin, Swedish Eurovision legend Loreen's musical influences include Björk and the Australian musician Lisa Gerrard. Signed to Warner Music Sweden, Loreen was the overwhelming favourite to win the 2012 competition, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. She won with the song Euphoria with a remarkable score of 372 (at the time this was the second highest score in the competition's history), awarded points by 40 of the 41 competing countries who were eligible to vote for her. Not content with just the one win to her name, in 2023 she became the first woman in Eurovision history to win the contest twice with her powerful statement song Tattoo which has become an international hit.
