About Smithills Hall

Set in 2,200 acres of woodland, on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, Smithills Hall is one of the oldest and best preserved manor houses in the North West. Over the past 700 years, many changes have been made to the hall. These changes reveal amazing clues about the people who have lived there throughout the ages. We provide tours for groups and workshops for schools. The historic setting is also the perfect backdrop for your wedding day or business event.
